Whispering Willows is
the ideal choice for a peaceful, secluded wedding in a natural setting.
The property is over 5 lush acres, gorgeously landscaped and serene,
boasting both the wisdom of established old growth, and the enthusiasm
and promise of fresh new additions to the landscape. You will enter
the property through 2 massive magnolia trees that are over 200 years
old, and wind down the long, meandering gravel driveway.
The sounds of water welcome you from various fountains, as you make
your way up the stone walkway to the gorgeous double-door glass entry
way. Entering into the spacious birch-floored foyer, you will be immediately
impressed with the vaulted wood ceiling with exposed beams, and the
massive stone fireplace, which is equipped to burn real wood through
the fall and winter, or gas logs through the spring and summer, for
an ambience to remember.
The
breath-taking wall-of-windows in this room offers sliding glass doors
onto the extensive rear deck, as well as an incredible view overlooking
the back of the property, completely private with gently swaying willow
trees, and bordered by a babbling brook.
The luxurious master
bedroom/bath suite provides the perfect place for the bride-to-be
and bridal party to prepare for the event on-site, in total privacy.
There are even sliding glass doors to a private deck off of the master
suite~ the perfect getaway space for the mother- or father-in-law-to-be
to shed a tear or two and catch a deep breath in preparation for the
incredible event ahead!
You will have access
to the spacious gourmet kitchen, complete with double ovens, built-in
wine cooler and wet bar, and a second refrigerator reserved exclusively
for your use during the event. This makes storage of flowers, food,
refreshments, and wedding cakes a breeze. Should you choose to reserve
the space for your reception, we do ask that food choices be vegetarian.
We can provide help with vegetarian ideas or names of vegetarian caterers,
as necessary.
Adjoining the kitchen
is an impressive oak-floored dining room with huge windows overlooking
the rear deck and property. This dining area may be used for intimate
gatherings, while the kitchen offers a large center island perfect
for food prep and buffet-style displays, or simply flowers and candles
to set the mood for the special day. Sliding glass doors off of the
kitchen provide access to the extensive rear deck with pergola, outdoor
grill, cedar swing, and mosaic café table. In addition, this
deck has stairs going down to the back of the property and stream,
and another set of stairs connecting to the pool area!
There is an in-ground
18’ x 36’ pool complete with diving board that is an incredibly
relaxing place to lounge. The pool may be used if prior arrangements
are made, such that whoever is renting use of the facility accepts
full responsibility and arranges for a certified lifeguard to be present
at any time that the pool is in use. Proof of this arrangement will
be required, in writing, for security purposes.
